What’s an LSV?

What’s an LSV?

Most Americans do the majority of their driving within a few miles of home: dropping the kids off at school or swim practice, picking up the groceries, stopping by the post office, etc. Unfortunately, all that stop and go driving is hard on a car. Not only does it wear down the brakes and transmission more quickly than highway driving, it also keeps the engine from reaching full operating temperature, causing a need for more frequent oil changes. And wear and tear isn’t the only problem with stop and go driving, it also burns through fuel at a much higher rate than highway driving, costing you more at the pump and leading to higher emissions.

EZGO had these and other challenges in mind when they designed the 2Five. The 2Five is a Low Speed Vehicle (LSV), meaning it is safe for use on most public roads with speed limits of 35 MPH or less. Unlike your gas-guzzler, it was designed to help you run errands around your community quickly and efficiently.

The 2Five features a quiet electric drivetrain that provides enough power to get you and your passengers where you need to go, along with the hockey gear, grocery bags or golf clubs you’ll need when you get there. The 48 volt drivetrain is also earth-friendly, producing zero emissions and virtually no noise, even at its top speed of 25 MPH.

One of the key reasons EZGO Golf Carts created the 2Five LSV was to provide a safe option for individuals who want to get around their community without burning through gallons of gas. Although EZGO is known as a leader in golf cart safety features, their existing carts and utility vehicles are designed for use on college campuses, golf courses, and quiet cul-de-sacs – not public roads. To meet the special demands of higher speeds and public road-use, EZGO gave the 2Five radial tires, three point harnesses, hydraulic disc brakes and a number of other important safety features.

As with all EZGO vehicles, the options for customization are nearly endless: windshield wipers, heaters, custom rims, etc. Whatever your unique needs, Five Star Golf cars can help you outfit a 2Five that will get you to your destination in style and comfort. For more information, contact us today!
