1200 pounds. More than half a ton. That’s what the aptly-named MPT 1200 can carry on its welded-steel, DuraShield coated frame.

But just how much is 1200 pounds, really? The venerable EZGO RXV golf cart has a curb weight of 919 pounds, meaning the MPT could carry the weight of an entire EZGO RXV—batteries and all—and a couple average-sized adults. Or, a more practical scenario: the MPT can carry a half cord of firewood, almost a cubic yard of building sand, or twelve of the 80 pound bags of dry cement – plus two riders. For less dense materials, like turf, you will run out of room in the spacious, 9.6 cubic foot roto-molded polyethylene bed before you exceed the weight limit this powerhouse can handle.

That’s a lot of hauling capability, which is why the MPT boasts a 401cc, 13HP Kawasaki engine. The automatic, continuously variable transmission and four-cycle engine means a smooth, quiet ride, while the 5.8 gallon gas tank will give you plenty of range.

But it’s not all about brute force, is it? Like all EZGO golf carts and utility vehicles, the MPT 1200 enjoys some great standard features, like headlights and horn, but it’s the optional features that really allow you to build the workhorse of your dreams. One of the coolest (bad pun intended) is the drop-in cooler accessory.
